Ah, where in the world would you like to go? Well, pick a place and a time, and see what happened when I went there...
This was an interesting trip with my buddies Bill Perry, Jon Konrath, and Cliff Terpening. Bill is one of the founding fathers of the Internet (along with that guy who ran for President that was a compulsive liar). Jon is a novelist by day, and freak all the time (always entertaining). Cliff is currently a pilot for a major airline, which I will not name in hopes of helping his career (look for him on your next flight wearing an afro wig and blue-blocker glasses).
Cliffy and I played hooky to go on a hike.
Stasha and Lon's Trip to the Chickasaw National Park
On Stasha's whirlwind trip to Okalahoma (April 2003), we did some hiking in Sulphur, Oklahoma (yes, it is spelled that way). The Chickasaw National Park was built by the CCC back in the 1920s. Its famous feature is a river that is generated by a pair of aquifers. The cold water flows clear from underneath the ground near 50 degrees. This is the place to be in the summer when it is 90+ degrees outside. The water warms up to the mid 60's by the time it gets to the many swimming areas.
This was a 2+ week trip of hanging out in Maimi and then diving off the Florida Keys. The first week+ I stayed at the apartment of my friend Bethany's friend Kate in the heart of South Beach. We worked and played, and managed to get some sun. The second week+ was spent in the Florida Keys where Bill and Ted and some 25 other folks from Indiana dove with the awesome crew at Quiesence Diving.
Drinking at Pike Pub, April 2005
A night at the Pike Pub & Brewery. Good friends, good food, and good alcohol makes for good times!
The Bachmeier-Evans Experience
A great Friday afternoon BBQ with the Bachmeier-Evans family (Mark, Michelle, Maya, and Makayla).
A few pictures from the 2005 Oyster Slurp. This wonderful event is hosted by the awesome Joanne, at her home on Anacortes. She manages to fill us all with as many Oysters as we can handel, and tons of other great food, drinks, and great times! Thanks Jo-Jo for another wonderful event!
Pictures from my first trip to Europe. On this trip I based out of Geneve, Switzerland thanks to my wonderful host Sulynn. From there I visited parts of France, Italy (including the Italian Riviera), Munich, Germany, and Montreux, Switzerland.
Pictures from my ski trip to Europe in February, 2006. On this trip we met Sulynn in Geneva and promptly headed out to Meribel, France to our ski destination!
Enjoy!
